The scope of the residential regeneration, on behalf of Newport City Homes (NCH), within the Somerton Estate will include:

• 250+ new net zero homes to replace existing homes which have been surveyed and identified as being at the end of their lifespan
• 50+ refurbished homes to achieve net zero
• New public spaces and green infrastructure to enhance the quality and placemaking principles of the Estate

Working alongside NCH and Welsh Government, we have been exploring Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) opportunities to increase energy efficiency and construction programmes to deliver higher quality homes quicker. A hybrid application (full application for phase one and outline application for the remainder of the estate) will be submitted in Autumn 2023. Construction works are programmed to commence on site in Autumn 2024.
